Passenger Footpegs

Post by landisr » Wed Aug 01, 2018 1:23 pm

I just noticed that the passenger pegs on my 'new' 76 LTD fold back at a 45 degree angle to the rear, whereas the ones on my other 76 (Avatar) fold straight up. Normally it would be NBD, but I have some aftermarket floorboards that I took off the Michigan Wing that I would like to install on the LTD. They bolt right around the pivot pins and over the footpegs. They obviously would not work now because they would not be level.

I've looked at other 75-77 Wings online and most all of them fold back at an angle. Any idea where the PO of my first Wing got those what appear to be stock Honda footpegs that fold straight up?

Thanks.

Are you sure it's just not the angle of the install of the pegs..I think all fold straight up..but if installed so the locking tab is forward of the notch..they'll folder back at 45 or so..But it's been a while since I had a 1000...

I have a saddle bag set on mine that use the rear footpeg bolt. So when you put the footpeg over, you have a choice where to tighten it down. I did mine with a pivot back but there are other choices.
