Bleeding brakes 81 gl1100

Post by Fetasigma » Wed Sep 12, 2018 11:58 pm

So I rebuilt my master front and rear, calipers front and rear used a vacume bleeder to bleed in the brakes, bled the banjo at the master, installed speed bleeders, get absolutely no bubbles on a bleed, pistons are moving and brakes work but the lever still comes all the way to the grip. Before the rebuild the lever was solid so I assume the lines are OK. What's my issue? What else do I need to try? Have the handle tied down until I can look at it again tommorow afternoon

well after trying every trick i can find on the forums i have decided that my brake line must be bad at least in the front, the rear are firmed up. i am going to go the double banjo bolt route and rid myself of the splitter and have 2 long lines. ordering from apex now.

And the answer to the question was a bad master cylinder bought off ebay from China, bought a diffrent one after the stainless lines didn't do the trick, and now rock solid brakes
