Save My Lenses - Headlight restoration

Post by AZgl1800 » Thu Sep 13, 2018 10:45 pm

Any have any experience with this product?

I found it on YouTube from a guy who was replying to a very good YouTube tutorial that I was watching, and made some good comments with this stuff.

from what I gather, you can dispense with buying the expensive 3M headlight restoration kit, and buy sheets of Wet or Dry sandpaper and do it by hand.

As professionals we do recommend clear coats because sanding removes the original UV coatings, there are no polishes or sealers that hold in heavy sun parts of the country or through a harsh winter.

Our Rock Hard Clear is the only clear specifically designed for poly-carbonate lenses, it has over 35% solid content whereas standard spray clears have maybe 5%. Additionally, some polishes will actually damage the lens material because they are petroleum based and break down plastics.

Simply wet sand with 180 to 220 W&D sandpaper, follow up with 800 to 1000 W&D sandpaper...

then spray with "Rock Hard Clear".

Done and done for about $1 per lens, nothing works better, faster or for less money... Guaranteed! www.SaveMyLenses.com

BEFORE they become milky
Key words in the ad!
By the way-all polycarbonate headlamp lenses have a hardcoat applied.
Rub through that and your lenses will be be trash in short time!

guess it don't matter anyway.

they are dinosaurs now, email addresses are invalid
and the phone number is answered by a paper thin online retailer, who's website is soooo slow, as to make you run for the hills...

scratch this idea.
