The '91 GL1500 Interstate did not have a cassette-radio on the center shelter like just about EVERY OTHER GL1500. Instead, it had a "blank-off" panel where the cassette-radio is "normally" mounted, and this panel bolts under the center shelter the same as a radio does.
I'm looking for one of these panels and any information to lead me to one would be greatly appreciated.

GOT ONE!!!!
It will need some minor "clean up" but it will work fine for my needs.
This panel fits 88-00 GL1500's centerdecks and mounts in the same location as the stereo. The panel will accommodate the newer AM-FM stereos with bluetooth, USB (for charging the phone), Aux-in (for MP3 or GPS, etc), and some come with a remote (so "mama" can control the radio from the back seat).
It can also be used to mount most all kinds of switches, such as FM modulators, or Voltmeters, oil and temp Gauges, "idiot/warning" lights, additional USB ports and many others.

This seems to be a decent "install" of an upgraded AM-FM stereo with the bluetooth, USB and Aux-in. Lots of room for gauges/switches if needed.
There's a thumb-drive with 100's of MP3 songs in the USB port for when reception is poor. The phone charger (USB) and the Aux-in lines are at the bottom of the picture and unplugged.
