New GL1100 owner

Post by magickman03 » Sat Oct 13, 2018 4:13 pm

After 30 years of riding I decided to buy a GL1100. I have wanted one for a while but the opportunity finally showed up. I found a 1981 that has 27350 miles on it. Needs a rear tire and the shocks rebuilt. Am/Fm cassette player works but I am thinking about upgrading it to something modern. I am really enjoying the bike, but my XS850 Yamaha is mad at me!

Congrats, and welcome from rainy Arizona.

I'm not so sure about an inner child, but I have an inner idiot that surfaces every now and then..

NICE..!! I just got my '83 Aspy all done this Sept. Now I get to spend winter days in the garage shining it up, and staring at it in between OTHER projects.
There are so many "options" for upgrades nowadays, you just get to sit back, make a "list" of what you want to do to them, and make a plan of attack.
Congrats on the bike.
It's not WHAT you's THAT you ride.
