Uni-Go Trailers

Post by echinus1988 » Wed Oct 24, 2018 6:58 pm

My son bought a Uni-Go trailer in July. Had to rebuild his funds so he couldn't order his hitch immediately. Ordered it a little late on August 20, 2018.

He is still waiting to get the hitch for his Yamaha FJR1300. That's over 2 months ago. Paid in full.

Anybody have this same problem? If so, were you able to resolve it. He's waiting on a callback from the owner. Was supposed to have one today, didn't get one. He's calling tomorrow and planning on canceling the order if he isn't given a date. $400 is a lot of money and all he's getting is excuses.

Let me know if you had a problem and how you resolved it.

Thanks.

I am assuming your son purchased his hitch directly from Uni-go in Jacksonville. In my dealings with these folks, responses are hit and miss - mostly miss. The key here is to be persistent, and if he paid by credit card, to notify the organization who issued the card. Responses and customer service was much better when Uni-go was in Ohio. In the future, tell you son to deal with Texas Trailers Plus for all his Uni-go needs. Bill at Texas Trailers Plus is very responsive and will have your Uni-go parts out to you in short order.

I wish we had known that. My son is calling today. If he can't get a shipping date, he's canceling the order and demanding a refund.

IF we can get the refund, we will definitely give Texas Trailers a call and see if they can help us.

All in all, very disappointed with Uni-Go trailer company. I certainly won't recommend them. Too many other trailer companies out there to mess with them.

I searched for this company and all I can find is "Trailers Plus" and I don't see any unigo accessories on their site. Do you have their info? Because unigo is just giving me the runaround and blaming his manufacturer.
Thanks in advance.

We did find the site.

Texas Motorcycle Trailers Plus. Good site and they seem helpful already.

Thank you.

If he used a credit card, all it will take is a call to the credit card company to let them know that he never received what you paid for. They will refund him immediately, and charge back the vendor, your son won't have any further involvement required.

He has offered a cancel of the order and a refund. I'm doing a little checking into other hitches. If he doesn't have it shipped within afew more business days I will cancel it, and charge back if necessary.
