I realize that this is not a relevant topic for Gold Wing riders, but I know that there is a lot of experience and knowledge on these forums, so I am seeking more input before I proceed. I ride a 1984 gl1200 standard, but my wife rides a Honda Shadow. I want to convert her spoke rims so that I can run tubeless tires on them. The reason is obviously primarily to make it easier to fix a flat tire. I have researched quite a bit and think I know how I would proceed. I know that they talk about rim profiles - and tube rims not holding tubeless tires well enough. But then, others say, the worst that will happen is still a slower leak than you get when you puncture a tube. Any thoughts or stories of experience would be appreciated. Thanks

If the rim has bead locks, the little ridges around the rim that the tire has to pop over, then yes it is possible. I did it on a KLR I had on the rear only, the front didn't have those locks. I sealed the spokes with what I don't remember now.
