Mine runs exactly 15MPh/1K RPMs, 4000 RPM at 60mph, 5000 RPM at 75.... 1980 STD

She'll happily do 75 all day long.... even pulling the camper.

Hey Ernest. What are the maximum speed limits in the country where you ride? 60 mph or 100 kph is very comfortable for a 1980 GL1100 and also what I would consider to be the sweet spot in RPM for both the 1980 and 1981 Goldwings.

well, my gl does 60 on 4 rpm, exactly like yours,@DenverWinger
speed limit would be 60-70 depends on the road,
sweet spot is defiantly 60 on 4rpm, and on colder days 70 on 4.5 rpm
