Anyone know what material the exhaust header nuts are made of? Alloy of some sort, copper or.......

I do know they are copper coated but a magnet will pick them up so they must be steel inside.

Pretty sure they're a steel nut. I did learn the hard way don't ask me how that it don't take much to break studs off in them. I do know mother Honda is proud of their hardware though. 2 handle bar control screws a header stud and nut were $13.50

I had to remove a broken stud when removing my exhaust headers on the right side. This was needed to install a lowering kit on my 2005. I bought a set of stud remover tools from Sears, heated the engine to get the studs hot and pounded the remover tool (looks like a Nut with sharp blades in a circle) and while hammering the tool at the same time slowly trying to work it loose back and forth. I was so happy it came out. I ordered new stock parts from Ronnies GW Mail Order to include a couple studs and nuts. Only needed one but wanted spares. I used anti-sieze on the nuts on all exhaust studs when I put it back together.
