Air suspension leak

Post by Chrissy and john » Thu Jul 04, 2019 12:16 pm

Hi all. Can any of you advise where to start looking for a leak on the rear suspension? We pumped it up to 56psi and within 2 hours its lost 10psi. It's our first cruiser and not sure where to start looking for the leak  any advice would be appreciated. Thanks kind regards chrissy

Well, first suspect is air line to shock connection. Located at top of shocks. Fix up a small spray bottle of soapy water to spray at suspect joints. Seat has to come off to inspect.

Could be a leak inside right fairing at connection to controls.

Your profile says 1992 GL1200, but either the year of size is wrong as 1200s only range from 1984-87?

Maybe you can post a picture or two?

If it's a D reg, that's 1986/7. I don't think our American cousins would understand our registration plate dating system!
It's been imported and then first registered in the UK in '92, but with an age-related registration number .
Ironically, Common Sense is the LEAST common of all senses!
