Value of bike.

Post by Mugmarine » Tue Jul 09, 2019 9:14 pm

Can this group help me with the value on a 2000 goldwing se? I'm going to sell it and buy another Valkyrie. I have it listed for 4900. It has 38 k miles and in good shape. Am I close or just tell me the groups opinion. Thanks in advance.

Based on the ones I see listed around here, I'd say you're right in the ball park. :D

I Just picked up a 2000 SE 2 weeks ago with 34K miles $3500 here in New Jersey. It was a 1 owner bike, and he was asking $4000 for it. I originally wanted to trade my Valkyrie for a Wing, but found this wing and couldn't pass it up.

Nice find!

Yup, prices are down in just a short time. Two years ago I was looking at 1500's, there was a beautiful blue 2000 SE for sale at a consignment shop, it was just listed. $5300, 62K miles. I'd have bought it on the spot - went to inquire and was told it had sold two hours before I got there.

So I got my red baby instead....'93, 43K miles, always garaged, lots of practical extras (SE lighting, aftermarket alternator and suspension, astounding stereo), "turn-key" condition. $4800. Probably only worth $3K now

probably $3500 to $4000 would be a price that it will sell. If there are others for sale in your area you have to price it accordingly. If they are priced high you could get a higher price but if they are low and you want to sell it you have to be in the ball park with the others ones for sale. of course miles and condition will be a factor in comparisons. The most common expense I find on buying a used 1500 wing is replacing tires and timing belts. if it has new belts and good tires that would be a big plus to a buyer.

Yes, I agree not just wings. I see lots of Valkyrie Interstates like I have listed between $4000-5000. I would never sell my Valkyrie for less than $6500. It’s a buyers market on used bikes. Even harley prices are way down.
