EC Headlight power regulator module lost

Post by Corkster52 » Thu Aug 08, 2019 12:18 pm

Just a heads up in case this happens to anyone else. Was on a ride a couple of days ago and a fellow rider said my left headlight was out. I installed Electrical Connections H4 LEDs last October and have been extremely happy with them. When I pulled the headlight I found the complete power regulator module on the left side was gone :!:

I pulled the left shelter to see if I could find it, as well as looked everywhere I could see with a light and a mirror. Found nothing. It still seems pretty strange that the plug-in and the threaded pin connection could have vanished. Anyway, got in touch with EC an ordered a replacement...for $28, and it should be delivered on Saturday. Better believe I will tape, and possibly put on liquid electric tape on, every connection!

Wire/cable ties will keep it secure. Tie it to the OEM wire harness and you will never lose another one.

Those who say it cannot be done should try not to interrupt those who are doing it.

Thanks! I have a gazillion wire ties (I even picked up every size of reusable ones I could find :o)

I still can't figure out something that large, with as tight as everything is behind the headlight assembly, could just vanish! Who knows, I may dig into a more extensive teardown someday and say "There that sombitch is!"
