GL1500 Carb rebuild
Undertook to rebuild the carbs on my 99 1500. First time on these carbs but not new to carbs in general. Since the build, and after replacing the vacuum pistons (aftermarket Saber Cycle parts) I have not been able to get any action out of the vacuum pistons. I'm obviously overlooking something simple. I'm in need of some experienced input please.

Re: GL1500 Carb rebuild
I have heard from others that Sabercycle diaphrahms are to thick and heavy. Won't operate properly. I am in the process now of rebuilding mine. I have on order the separate diaphragms that have to be glued to the old pistons. For $40 I will take a chance vs $200 for new. Good reviews. I won't know for a few days.

Re: GL1500 Carb rebuild
Your problem is that you bought low-quality junk from Saber Cycle. They're well-known for selling substandard parts that don't fit or work correctly.shaffermd wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 7:14 amUndertook to rebuild the carbs on my 99 1500.
