I made my goal

Post by Pam » Wed Oct 09, 2019 8:42 pm

When the riding season started this spring I had a goal. My goal was to hit the 200000 Km mark on my 05 gl1800. I needed about 6100 km this summer to hit the mark. Some guys may say that that is not a big distance to travel over the summer but I am happy with that considering my part time job pretty much takes up August and September. Any one have any thoughts on what the old girl has left in her?

Not using oil, mechanically sound, suspension upgraded (?), agree with AZgl1800. Not going to get anything for a trade or sale, ride it 'till it drops. Cheers

Everything is stock. Plugs all look good. No oil consumption. Don't want to start an oil saga but am using rotell 15/40 as it meets the jaso ma rating as per my manual. And yes it is worth nothing as a sale or trade ride till she drops

My '02 has 114,000 on the odometer, using Rotella T6 5w40 which gives super smooth shifts.

Resale? just about none, I will give it to my son who currently does not have a bike, though he used to have an '84 and a '86SEi

His wife enjoys riding with him.... something that my wife would never do.
