Leaking fuel

Post by Jjbraden » Wed Jan 08, 2020 8:58 pm

Got a 1982 wing. Had fuel coming out of right bank. Rebuilt carbs, new everything. Still have fuel coming out right bank, it's raw fuel. Any ideas what I should do next

Check fuel lines could be a crack or missing a small piece between carbs. I think both left and right ides are connected by a "tee" between them could be cracked or missing,

Depends on where it is coming from

yes, try to figure out where it is coming from. if it's from the overflow, then sometimes a few quick raps on the float bowl(s) with the handle of a screwdriver can help the float needle(s) get seated.

Appears to be leaking out exhaust. Don't know if exhaust on the right is blocked somehow, and this is the problem.
Is it possible that the sync is a little out and so carbs 1 & 3 are getting too much fuel?

carb synching only smooths out the idle. can't cause fuel leakage.
most likely cause is inlet needle not seating.
