Engine oil leak on 1990 gl 1500 on the front of engine around the water pump. Drips hang on the bottom of water pump. Nothing coming from weep hole and oil filter not leaking. Any info appreciated

Not from weep hole?

How bad is it?

Any trails?

Oil can start up high, follow crevices, to a low spot, then jump off onto the floor.

Water pump is in a low spot.

I'd spray it clean and start engine (in a well vented area) & have a look as it's running. Block wheels (or chain trike to a post or truck) so no accidental run overs. Those aqua shields might limit your view so you might want rear wheels in air with the rear axle on jack stands. Strong LED flashlight in hand, clean & scratch free safety glasses on too. What I'd do.

This time of year when it gets cool the aluminum shrinks as does any metal. The seal on the waterpump can weep a little oil before the antifreeze starts leaking out the weep hole.

Check the pictures and hopefully give me a clue to where the leaks are coming from
