Linked Brakes: Poll question

Post by radfordgoldwingresto »

I'm working on my 83 Interstate project. The old rear master cylinder was bad. Not many available but found a decent '82. I've already spent money on the front calipers and would like to use it in a linked system. I rebuilt the '82 master.

Poll question:
Can the master cylinder off the '82 push enough to actuate the linked brakes? Is it worth trying to link it up to the junction. I'll have to rig two style fittings for the banjo bolt to hard-line for the split between the front and back set of calipers.

Thanks guys for the site. I've read and learned a ton from your posts/forum. I'd just like to get a consensus.

No.
82 has smaller diameter piston so less push
