emergency flashers -- old topic new question

Post by dndgentili » Tue Feb 11, 2020 2:13 pm

I replaced my switch with the radio shack rocker switch. What I'd like to do is put a relay inline because the switch doesn't handle the 12VDC well. I have a relay but have no idea how to do this. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

For your typical Bosch type automotive relay, use the following:
Pin 30 fused power from your fusebox, battery, etc.
Pin 87 The load you want to switch (lights).
Pin 85 ground.
Pin 86 Switched power from your rocker switch.
