MY 1990 GL1500SE HAS GAS PUMPING OUT

MY GL1500SE HAS BEEN SITTING IN GARAGE FOR 8 MONTHS, CHANGED OIL AND ANTIFREEZE, SEA FOAM WAS IN TANK SINCE IT SAT. STARTED IT AND RUNS NICE...BUT GAS IS FLOWING OUT OF A TUBE FROM THE CARB BODY TO BOTTOM OF BIKE.....WHATS THE DEAL....WHAT IS STUCK.....THX....MARK IN ORLANDO......

It sounds like a stuck float or dirt in the needle seat.

If you are lucky you can disconnect the fuel shutoff and plug it, then run the bike until it starves out and dies from no fuel. That will drop the floats all the way. Then hook the fuel back up and start it up. If you are lucky the inrush of fuel will dislodge any debris. You can also tap on the float bowls with a screwdriver handle to get things moving. Otherwise you will probably have to pull the carbs and tear them down. If you do get it to stop the easy way run a few tanks of Seafoam through it to clean things up. Good luck.

In the future drain the carbs before storing it.
