Accessory socket inline fuse replacement

Post by mrw616 »

Confirmed today I blew the 3 amp inline fuse (08U55-MCA-101). I was looking around online but could not find the answer, can the fuse be easily replaced? Or do I have to replace the whole darn kit? Appreciate any information provided.

That is just a standard glass fuse. Looks like a 1/4" x 1 1/4" from the pic. It should just pull out of the metal clips at each end. The amperage will be marked on the metal ends of the fuse.

Most any parts store will carry that fuse. Usually the are sold in a pack of 5. I believe the holder that it goes into will either take a 1" or 1-1/4" fuse. Once it is replace, be sure to put it all back its little plastic holder.
