Yea, I lost over 2 months from the accident, but am starting to take short rides again. Hope to be back well enough for longer one by the end of the month. Sept. starts the rally season back up here in Texas and I usually make 4 to 6 rallys each spring and each fall. Don't want to change this year.
Hope you get to add a lotta miles on yours.

Ya won't be long before we are back to winter. Days are getting noticeably shorter already.

We have some time off and would like to go somewhere but can't seem to decide where to go. How silly is that?

Right now I am looking forward to winter. Can't ride anyway in this heat. Going to be 109 here today. 46 total 100+ degree days so far. Personally I can handle the cold better than the extreme heat. No where to hide.
Think snow!

Summer may be slipping away and the days are getting shorter, but the heat and storms sure make it difficult to get out as much as I would like to!

There is a solution to this heat issue guy's, a friend and I took a 100 mile ride in the early morning from 6:30 to 11:00 and we had a grand ride, had breakfast at this really neat old resturant in Bandera Tx. and yes they still wear hats and boots there...Then down to Hondo and back to San Antonio... All before it was 11:00... So its a great time to ride, sure worked for us, the heat got up to 105 degree's later that day...Man....

Don't know about yours, but my wing came with a windscreen to keep the bugs outta my mouth, lol. Over 16K kilometers (thats over 10K miles for my American friends) this year so far, and loving it. This new job I got is the best one I ever had, and I am really good at it. It is called retirement, lmao

Don't even say that summer is slipping away.I'm still waiting for my wheel kit for my old 1982 A so I can take the little woman for a ride.
I have been riding by my self this summer but thats no fun, well not quiet like that Ha Ha I just haven't put the miles on like other years.
Monday the 15th they should ship the Kit,can't wait to install, call the little woman out of the house and go for a ride.
I sure hope I'm doing the right thing! Kit is InstaTrike by Tow-Pac

The weather here in the past few days has been gorgeous, nights are in the upper sixties, and days in the middle seventies

That's it, rub the weather in (for now)..just wait a few months...I guess you could say it is getting better here too. It was only 99 because there was a few clowds floating around. 99 is better than 105....weatherman just said 103 tomorrow. We did see a little rain what we call down here a 6 incher....now understand this is south central Texas...That's not 6 inches of rain, that is rain drops about 6 inches apart. I said my wife caused it since she was having a garage sale and had all the stuff outside on tables. I told her to put an ad in the paper demanding everyone that got any rain to send her $5.00 bucks, her fee as a rainmaker.
Hope you enjoy your kit. I'm sure you will be able to get in some riding before the weather turns it ugly head on you'll up there in the North.

Yea, We are keeping the garage sale stuff out in the yard hoping that will make it rain by procrastinating in moving it back indoors. Maybe I'll just go for a bike ride too maybe that will make it rain.

I have to restart, have been getting yellow teeth from all the bugs and riding and then this weekend I was out near Llano in Texas when 2 inches of rain fell in less than an hour!! Amazing flash floods, but worse than that, it cleaned all the bugs of my fairing and teeth!! Now I have to restart all over again!! I could believe that I could get so wet so quickly, in less than 20 seconds I was soaked to the skin, so we just kept on riding and enjoyed the cooler temperature!! We badly need the rain so I am not complaining but there was more than 3 inches of standing water on the roads, and I was amazed that the wing did not aquaplane (we slowed down to 40mph, but I still thought it would slide with the sheer quantity of water on the road!!). One big thumbs up to the Avon tyres..

I've heard it snows in Texas once in a great while and brings everything to a screaching halt. I guess if it don't come out of the business end of horse or cow ya don't have shovels for it. As much as I dislike the winter, Ican always add a layer to keep warm. But down your way you can only take off so much and stay legal.

I can't argue that point one bit. I spent 3/4 of my life trying to get out and stay out of here, but family and life situations always seemed to make me move back. Now I'm sort of stuck here financially anyway. Any place I would like to live (weather wise), I can't afford. And of course besides the intense heat, the BUGS, I hate the bugs The only good thing is being able to ride year around. We get a snow every 20 years of so down in San Antonio. North of here by a couple hundred miles gets some nearly every year and of course north Tedas, panhandle area gets a fair amount every year. Texas is big enough to get all kinds of weather. But summer is slipping away, It just means good riding weather is on the way, maybe another month. It will cool down enough to really enjoy. Hope the folks up north can get an extended fall so you'll can ride a little longer.

It's not too unusual to have a difference of 50 to 55 degrees F for the daily temperature extremes out at my place (foot of the Blue Mountains, NE Oregon). A guy really should be prepared on his riding gear choices. I hadn't gone too far on my short (15-minute) commute this morning when I wished I'd worn another layer. It was 39. Brrr... :)

What is 39F with a 70 mph wind chill, anyway? Just a bit cool for a mesh jacket without the liner, I'll tell ya! :D

Well here in Arizona we look forward to the summer ending, 115 heat for 30 days all summer long and over 100 the rest of the time not fun or wish to get that dehydrated I would just rather use my air conditioning. October thru April is the perfect temps here. could be why the the snowbirds show up this time of year. The rain usually stops and never do we get snow I moved to avoid dealing with that! So not sorry for the end of summer.

Here in New Jersey, I'm still waiting for the BEGINNING of summer!
It started raining in April and it hasn't stopped yet.
I feel like I'm living in Seattle instead of New Jersey.
This is ridiculous!
We can count the number of really nice summer days we've had
this year on our fingers.
